Things have changed a lot since I stopped blogging regularly over 2 years ago. The biggest changes occurred in 2020. I know that 2020 held big changes for all of us, but we were expecting big changes..... even before the pandemic caused everyone's world to go sideways and upside down.
We carefully considered whether we should go forward with our plans or put them on hold. In the end we decided life is short and we moved ahead with our plans.
We finished up some home improvement projects.....and last summer we listed our house for sale. It sold the first day! Below are pictures of a couple of my favorite renovations. Team Sanders really knocked it out of the park on that wet bar makeover (most of the work was done by SuperDave). I was really sad to sell my house after redecorating the dining room, wet bar and swimming pool, but we were moving full speed ahead!
It was time to move on toward our retirement goal.
Where were we moving on to?
Well, initially we ended up in a hotel for 70 nights. Not the ideal place to be in a pandemic, but we survived. I'll explain that in a later blog.
After the hotel, we moved into a slightly smaller home. So a new chapter and a big adventure has begun. In January, we retired and I look forward to sharing our adventures with you now that we are living full time in a 36' motorhome.
