My husband bought me a beautiful tropical hibiscus to replace the one on the patio that I killed over the winter after keeping it for 10 years. This one is a beauty!
Monday
Bad News
The gas service line to our house is rusted and our home warranty doesn't cover the VERY EXPENSIVE cost of the repair. I'll just say we are not talking hundreds, add a zero. We had no hot water from Monday morning until Thursday night. Also no gas range or heat, but fortunately no heat is necessary this time of year. Now if the AC went out - that would be a problem. I won't go into the creative ways we made it through the week without hot water.

The house didn't blow up :)
Bad News
It's been like a 3 ring circus dealing with the plumbing contractor. Could you please show up before noon? Seriously, I am spoiled by SuperDave doing most of the projects around our house and we will never recommend this plumbing company to anyone.
All week

Due to dealing with the problem above I didn't get the baby quilt finished for my daughter's shower tomorrow. Also ZERO time for reading anybody's blog posts this week.

While I worked on it, I had help and it will be done soon.

There were 16 tornadoes in the DFW area this week

My family is all safe and I shouldn't be whining about a week of inconvenience.

The neighborhood ladies came to my house Thursday night for a fun very loud night of girl time. That helped me de-stress a bit.

I was due to have the rough skin scrubbed off my heels and a new paint job on my tootsies - so I did that during my lunch break today.

Can anything really be bad when you have cute toesies? Well, maybe the gas line can be counted as bad. I'd say you family has made up for the bad stuff this week!

Wasn't that crazy weather. We only had one threat down in southern Kaufman Co. Praying for those who lost loved ones out in Grandbury.
Congrats on the expected new grandbaby...hope the quilt is complete and I know it will be cherished. :)
