Grilled Chicken and Fresh Pineapple - An Important Tip

Do you love grilled chicken?
Do you love fresh pineapple?
Do you love fresh pineapple grilled WITH your chicken?

Do you have one of these?

You use it to get this

and leave behind this

If you don't have one - get one

Because then you can make this

But DON'T put fresh pineapple juice in the marinade - it gives the surface of the meat an unappetizing mushy texture.  I never knew this until we found out by mistake last weekend. (good thing I wasn't under the impression that I knew everything)  A friend told me the same thing happened to her when she cooked kabobs on the grill with the chicken next to the pineapple on a skewer.  So keep the pineapple and the chicken separate while cooking and put them together on your plate!

Probably everyone, except for me, already knows this - but I wanted to share - just in case.

Actually, I don't think I knew that. My brother learned not to try marinating fish in white wine. When he went to cook it, he had fish soup.

I didn't know that! I love grilled pineapple with chicken, but the husband has some secret marinade that he likes to make. Clearly, it doesn't have juice in it.

Yours looks delish, and now I want one of those corers.
