Sewing for Halloween

Since we got back from vacation I've been doing mostly just two things

#1 Going to work

#2 Sewing Halloween Costumes

Of course, there are always the usual things to do like errands, shopping, and paying the bills.  I've also done a little cooking - but I've been making large quantities so that we have enough to eat two or three times before the dish is gone so that I have more time after work for sewing.

Things I haven't been doing much of include cleaning my house and blogging.  When the costumes are done these two things are high on my list of Things to Do.

So here's a sneak peak at what I HAVE been doing the last couple of weeks. (and my apologies for the pictures taken with my phone because I haven't even used my good camera since I got home)

I'm looking forward to sharing the BIG REVEAL.  I really do enjoy sewing, and I'm putting the new sewing desk to good use (if you missed the post about that furniture makeover check it out.)  But I'm totally trashing the guest bedroom where I sew!

Are you sewing for Halloween?

Much Love & Laughter,

Laura

Oh my, those are not simple costumes! The blogger conundrum is that if you are doing a project, there's no time to blog. If you have time to blog, there's not project to blog about! lol

We're such kindred spirits about the costumes and dress up. I LOVE it. I have loved making costumes for my girls since they were little. I still offer up my help for their college socials and for the Halloween stuff, but nowadays they just want to "wing it" like their friends. Phooey.

I do want to see the final reveal because I loved the previous post with all the wonderful pictures!

(And thanks SO MUCH for something you said on a recent comment on my blog. Ever since falling off the blog train, I have had so much stress just trying to get back on. I can NOT seem to get the groove, and when I do I can't seem to find the time. I realized when I read what you said that you are so right. I didn't start it to add to stress. I started it to have fun.

Thanks for the reminder!)
