I'm Under The Influence - Part Deaux

I'm doubling up my post today because tomorrow I am off to celebrate my Mom's 75th Birthday with my family.  We are looking forward to a very fun weekend.

Last week I told you how all the blogs about seasonal mantle decor have influenced inspired me. I had managed to get the table in the entry hall decorated for summer.  Over the weekend I got to work on the mantle.  One of the reasons I love this so much is that I didn't spend ANY money on this mini-project.  I say mini because I'm sure all 3 areas didn't take more than ONE hour.  One hour is definitely a mini-project for me which makes it so much fun.

The beach theme for my mantle doesn't exactly go with the painting - but that is not coming down or getting covered up.

Because I love the beach, I have a lot of items to collect from all around the house.

Some of these items are kept inside a cabinet with a glass door, no one really sees them throughout the rest of the year, so it was fun to put them front and center.

I was looking for anything beachy and anything in tropical colors.

I'm the neighborhood Bunco host in a couple of weeks so it's really awesome cool that my house will be all decorated in summer style for my Bunco Party!

In the kitchen I used my summer patio partyware because the colors were bright and now the plates, bowls and glasses will be handy for use.

Thanks for all the inspiration!  I need to link this to somewhere I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

Have an awesome weekend!

It turned out great! I was trying to dink up a beach mantel, but the stuff keeps sailing off into my guest bath before I can get it up there.

And I commented on that (wonderful) furniture makeover that you need to pick something each week and link to the newbie party at Debbiedoos. You still fit the qualifications and I always discover the best bloggers over there.

Hi laura, I like to decorate with a coastal them too. Your beachy mantle looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing this at the Open House party and have a great week.

Well, this looks fabulous! I don't have very many beachy things - I am inspired by your vignette! I am an alternate for our community Bunco group - wayyy too much fun! I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy
