Seriously, seriously, LOVING THIS!

Don't worry, it didn't go far, the daughter wants this in her room |

I know all you chalk painters and fans of all that is Shabby and Chic are out there screaming for this to be painted. Truthfully, I'm not sure SuperDave will let me touch this with a paint brush.
I think he kinda likes it 'as is' and I do need to let him
have a voice in my our decorating occasionally once in a blue moon, I suppose.
Also, I'm kinda tired and ready to lie by the pool for a day or three
and just read a book and sip on a cold beverage.
Cheers!
Laura

don't forget to show us the whole thing when you are done! You have found some great pieces.
p.s. I would probably have to do something with that TV cab -- ever thought about lime wax?
These pieces are wonderful! What amazing finds! I love the new so much better! I think not painting a piece is fine. It's what you like and it looks amazing now!
Thank you for the nice comments. I'm beginning to get impatient and am hoping to get the furniture portion of the project finished soon. The entire room will be a work in progress for a while. The next steps are removing the popcorn texture from the ceiling (one of the worst inventions EVER) and painting the walls. Then wood flooring - probably 2013 on that wood flooring, but it will be here soon - time keeps flying by!
Love your new pieces! You did a great job on them! You had mentioned you have a Nikon SLR - Would you tell me what model of Nikon SLR you have? I am wondering what kind to get for my blogging.
Great "updated" pieces, Laura. It's so much fun to oust the old when replacing with something better. Right? ;)
Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Glad you're a part of the fun.
Blessings,
