Old School Part 2 or Trash to Treasure

Here is today's Wednesday Quickie!

Last Wednesday I showed you my old school desk.  Many of you really loved the desk so I wanted to share some other "Old School" decor.

I have an attraction to old books.  Okay, I love all books, but I'm trying to get rid of books published in the last couple of decades and use my Kindle as much as possible.

But my old books are here to stay.  There's just something about them that I really love. A few of these I snagged from my Mom's house.  I remember reading them when I was was a kid - and they were already old back then.

I like them so much I've picked up some others here and there through the years.

I have every intention of reading all these books,
but that task is on my list for the far off future.

Now this little bit of decor isn't exactly old "school" it's just old, I rescued these from the toy box when my kids outgrew blocks.  I really love them on my fireplace mantle.

Have you rescued any old stuff to use in your decor?  I'm working on another rescue I picked up from my Mom over the weekend.  Maybe it will be next week's Before and After.  Gotta Run!

Much Love & Laughter,

Laura

Standing in the "I love old books" corner with you. I love the very feel and smell of them, in fact. I need to head up to the attic to see if we have some blocks up there. I never thought to use them in decorating.

And btw, do you do the "Newbie" party at DebbieDoos? You have such a great blog. I hope you share it there.

Thanks for the wonderful compliment Debbie. I have shared a post on the Newbie party, but I missed it this week. I'm so busy that it's hard for me to do all the linkup parties. But I really enjoy writing my blog and I could read others ALL DAY LONG if I wasn't otherwise obligated.
