Furry Family Members

We've always been a cat family.

This is my daughter, Colleen's baby, Obi (Prince Obi, he likes to sleep on a pillow)

It's not that we don't like dogs, we like all furry critters, but cats are just easier.

As I've mentioned, all our family lives in another state, so we have traveled quite a bit over the years and you can leave a cat overnight, dogs require a "sitter."  So we love on dogs that belong to friends and family and have only adopted cats into our family.

We lost one to old age, and a couple to illness when they were way too young. We've wondered if we could heal enough to open our hearts to the risk of pain again.....but we always do.

One year ago we added this sweet guy to our family because Obi was lonely after losing his "brother", Yoda, several months earlier. Yes, there is a Star Wars theme going here.

The poor baby was found living on the street and even though he was a little shy, you could tell he was happy to be living in the lap of luxury at our house.  As you can see, he and Obi made have become best buds!

Chewie chose my husband, to be his favorite person.  That cat has really good taste in people, but he better remember that I picked that man first!
